PB300314

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, 7th. Feb. 2011
we went to the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool and helped John Bowdler set up
his Technics GA3 organ + (via MIDI) the Fantom XR with our TOIAB Tower+
sample software system, on stage , to temporarily use instead of the Wurlitzer,
which was having its yearly service & overhaul, we think the result was stunning !
watch the video of John giving it a test run & judge for yourself.
apologies for visual quality, but we were working with the main lights off
and the camcorder "auto-focus" struggled with the very low light available in the empty Ballroom.

  2. Hi Reg,
Many thanks to Peter and yourself for transforming my Technics GA3 into 'the Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer'. It's truly amazing and an experience I've yearned for since childhood and a visit to see 'Mr Blackpool' in person, at the wonderful Wurlitzer. Haven't got his expertise, but I've got the sound. All the best for many more installations. I would recommend you both to anyone who wants to convert an electronic organ, into a scintillating Wurlitzer as the one in the Tower Ballroom. They won't regret it.
    Kind regards. Peter

  3. Just got your Tyros 3 Blackpool samples - already have your XR samples and was worried that the T3 samples may not be as good, but no worries they are excellent. I am really pleased and will be buying vol 2 shortly. Many thanks, Mark.

  4. Dear Reg,
Please advise me about the fantastic Blackpool Wurlitzer Sounds on Theatre organ in a box? Loaded T0I AB theatre organ samples?
    Reason:
I would to get these fantastic sounds out of my own organs.
    Question 1:
Is an midi connection on my organ sufficient / enough?
    Question 2:
Do I need a pc for coneccting this system? I have windows 7. Do you need special connections on the pc?
    Question 3:
How many parts can I buy of Blackpool Tower Organ Sounds?
    I want all of them!
    Question 4:
Where can I buy these Sounds?

Thank you very much for reading and answering these questions.

  6. to Jack,
I take it you are using mp3's,
in this case, use the Transpose
buttons to bring your keyboard into
tune with the track, in the apparent
    key of your chose.
    regards, Reg

  8. Hi Reg & Chris,
I wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for having me at the Penrith Festival in November - it was a fantastic event. Thank you too for deciding to donate raffle proceeds to our charity for autistic children - "Miracles to Believe in". This was a wonderful gesture and the resultant total of £127 acquired over the weekend is so much appreciated by myself and the charity committee. Every success for the future - creating those amaing sounds via TTT.
    Nick Martin.

  16. Thank-you and KUDOS from Texas!
Your theatre organ samples are too good to be true. I configured a Yamaha HS-4 organ with my Tyros 2 and have a really magnificent sounding 3 manual theatre organ using TTT voices. As soon as my next retirement check gets here, I'm ordering more. Thanks again you guys!!

  17. Reg and Peter have just installed the Fantom XRwith the theatre organs, plus Tower Wurlitzer sounds on to my Roland AT80-SL. The sounds are fantastic, and absolutely as hoped - not expected. Thoroughly to be recommended!

  19. Emery = Theatre Magic vol. 2
would be the best set to start,
remember you need Dimms in the
    Tyros 2 to use samples.
    regards, Reg

  20. I really like the samples that Gordan used on his utube demos with Tyros2..
Theatre voicing is what I'd like to try. I'll likely end up buying ALL the samples; however, for now, I just want to see what this Tyros2 will do as the midi sound generator for a small Yamaha HS4 spinet organ. I'm thinking spectacular, but won't know without your samples, eh?

  21. Well Emery,
that very much depends on your
    favourite style of sound etc.
    Theatres, Klaus/Wersi, general ?

  22. Wow, I love this site!..IF one can only afford to purchase 1 set of samples for ones Tyros2 right now, which would be the better set to buy? thanx

  23. Hi Reg,
Just wanted to let you know that the software arrived today, Friday 29th.
7 days from Southport UK to Calgary Canada. Not bad eh! Your instructions were great and I loaded first time.
I am very impressed with Theatre Magic V.1 installed on my Tyros 2. My first love is the Hammond, but too expensive for me. Any chance you might be able to sample the B3 in the not to distant future? (cannot wait too long as I am 82)

    Sincerely,
    Harry Shearman

  29. Hi Micha,

    patches and 64 full performances,
the pdf is out of date in this area.
we supply full instructions with our
    software.
you will need 512 m.b. Dimm memory
    in the Fantom
our samples etc. load into this when
    you switch on, each time.
    regards, Reg

  30. Hi! I'm interested in TOinABox. I already have a roland fantom XR. Now my question. On the homepage is written about over 250 patches and 64 performances, in the PDF-list I can only find 100 patches and 58 performances. Why is there a difference? The second question: Is it difficult to "install" the card in the fantom? Do I get an "installation guide", when I buy the card? Thank you very much for answering my questions. Micha in Germany

  31. Hi, the Fantom XR will work with ANY MIDI keyboard/instrument
    you will need;
    Fantom XR +512M.B. Dimm MEMORY
    TOIAB Tower+ card etc.
    hope this helps, Reg

  32. Hi: I just found your website by chance when I typed in 'organ box.' I'm an organist and long time admirer of Reginald Dixon and the Blackppool organ. I have a Roland VK-8M Hammond module that I connect to my Casio keyboard and I love it. However, I would love to add your Wurlitzer sounds. What do I need in addition to my keyboard? I also ordered a Roland midi usb keyboard for additional use. Will the Roalnd XR work with that?
    Thanks, Herman in Canada.
